Chapman Middle School & STEM Magnet Middle School Campus

Huntsville City Schools has officially commenced construction on a groundbreaking new shared campus at the current Chapman Middle School location on Reuben Drive in Huntsville, Alabama. This forward-thinking development represents a significant investment in the future of education, bringing together modern design, functionality, and collaboration in one unified environment.

The $70 million project is being led by design firm McMillan Pazdan Smith, in partnership with TCU Consulting Services and Lee Builders. As part of the district’s broader 10-year, $600 million capital improvement initiative, the new campus is designed to redefine what a 21st-century learning space can be—blending innovation, flexibility, and community-focused planning.

Superintendent Clarence Sutton emphasized the importance of the project, noting that Huntsville continues to be a place where opportunity and vision come together. He highlighted the strong level of community support behind public education, calling it a key factor in making transformative projects like this possible.
